Winemaking Process

Crow River Winery cultivates grapes in five vineyards around Hutchinson. The first vines were planted in 2006 at Box Elder Vineyard, focusing on Minnesota Cold Climate grapes. With eight varietals, the winery crafts a diverse selection of wines available in our tasting room and at your Minnesota liquor stores. Handpicked at harvest, the grapes undergo winemaking immediately and are bottled less than a year later. All of our wines are produced and bottled onsite.

The vineyards, carefully tended by skilled hands, benefit from the unique climate and soil of the region, resulting in grapes that are bursting with flavor. Each varietal tells a story of the land it comes from, capturing the essence of Crow River Winery's dedication to showcasing the best of what Minnesota has to offer.
