Crow River Winery is committed to giving back to our community. CRW reviews donation requests as they are received with an effort to support local organizations that most closely match our mission and best demonstrate how Crow River Winery can be of value. If you are a 501(c)(3) organization you may consider our Fundraising Friday program instead – click here to apply.
CRW supports diversity. Organizations or events that discriminate based on race, creed, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion, or nationality need not apply.
Although requests for participation may meet the guidelines, not all requests will be granted and approval should not be assumed.
If you have a donation request, please complete the form on this page for consideration or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
501(c) Organization Donations
Crow River Winery can donate wine only to 501(c) organizations according to Minnesota State law.
340A.707 AUCTION OR RAFFLE FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES
Notwithstanding sections of 340A.401, 340A.414, and 340A.505, a nonprofit organization conducting a silent auction, raffle, or other fundraising event may conduct live, on premises auctions or raffles of wine, beer, or intoxicating liquors, providing that funds from the auction or raffle are dedicated to the charitable purposes of the nonprofit organization, such as auctions or raffles are limited to not more than six occasions per year, and the alcohol may only be auctioned or raffled to persons who demonstrate that they are 21 years of age or older and do not show signs of obvious intoxication. Nothing in this section authorizes on-premises consumption of alcohol.
Non-501(c) Organizations Donations
Crow River Winery may consider donations of gift cards or coupons for “at winery wine tastings” to non-501(c) fundraisers if the fundraiser meets the CRW guidelines as decided upon by CRW management.
Serving donated CRW wine — Private or 501(c) events
All CRW wines must be sold to and served under the control of a State Alcohol permit holder without exception. This may be an on-sale retail or caterer’s liquor license or an on-sale temporary one-day to four-day liquor license permit.
Any organization receiving a donation from Crow River Winery will be asked to sign a receipt of product, service or monetary donation. This form will also contain an assumption of liability upon receipt of any wine bottles.
